THESE FOUR GUN SAFETY RULES WILL PROTECT YOU AND EVERYONE AROUND YOU

IF, AND ONLY IF

YOU BURN THEM IN YOUR MEMORY AND MAKE THEM SECOND NATURE


TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY ARE LOADED.

ALWAYS KEEP THE MUZZLE POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION.

KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU HAVE MADE A CONSCIOUS DECISION TO SHOOT.

BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEHIND AND IN FRONT OF IT.

WHEN USING A GUN, ALWAYS FOLLOW THESE ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES:

  1. KNOW HOW TO USE THE GUN.
  2. BE SURE THE GUN IS SAFE TO OPERATE.
  3. USE ONLY THE CORRECT AMMUNITION FOR YOUR GUN.
  4. WEAR EYE AND EAR PROTECTION AS APPROPRIATE.
  5. NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.
  6. GUNS SITTING IN RACKS SHOULD NOT BE ACCESSIBLE TO UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS.

BE AWARE THAT CERTAIN TYPES OF GUNS AND MANY SHOOTING ACTIVITIES REQUIRE ADDITIONAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.
